Katy is the grower behind Hidden Acres Flower Farm in Gig Harbor, where she lives on a 35-acre family property that’s been in her family since the 1970s. While the land itself is expansive, she focuses her flower production on about a quarter acre, where she’s been farming for the past five years.

Her favorite flower? Snapdragons—she loves them for their soft, sweet fragrance, long vase life, and the range of colors and unique forms they bring to arrangements.

When she’s not out in the field, Katy works as an X-ray tech at a local hospital. Outside of work and farming, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her furry companions) and unwinding with her favorite metal music. (Note our choice of music for Katy’s introduction).
